After releasing its 1988 limited 8-card football set Pro Set issued its inaugural set of football cards in 1989. The 1989 Pro Set cards along with the inaugural 1989 set of Score cards revolutionized the football card industry. After years and years of the bland, generic football cards produced by Topps, Pro Set and Score issued beautifully designed cards with color photos on the front and backs of their cards. The Browns Team set include rookie cards of Head Coach Bud Carson, Mike Oliphant, Eric Metcalf in his Texas Longhorns uniform, and Brian Washington.
